SAI Administrators Technology Boot Camp 1b - EVALUATIONS
September 2 & 3, 2009
What did you most like about today?
Again - hands on! Lots of topics and exposure.
same as yesterday, just learning new things and figuring how to apply them
The Google Docs is a way to store and retrieve information that is stress free. No pressure on our servers - just held in the clouds somewhere.
Frequent breaks helped me stay attentive. Hearing it, seeing it, doing it is a great learning method.
The array of different tools. Excellent info...
No one thing stands out because all were useful.
Skype was fun. Animoto looks great! Can't wait to play with it.
Learning so many things I have only heard about.
Google.docs
I liked Flickr and Animoto
Pacing. You pushed us, but were there to help
All of the useful information!
Awareness of all of the resources out there.
What suggestions do you have for us? What can we do to improve your experience in future sessions?
This is great - I like the smattering of information. It was deep enough for someone to just get started and see if there is interest.
Probably could be a full two days or more. Some small group dialogue around applying each of these tools might be a great component. Teach the application - practice - small group to discuss district or school wide applications.
Sometimes I felt like I didn't have a chance to think through the process and try it because someone would come up behind me and start telling me what to do. They could do it faster and so if I hesitated at all, then they jumped in instead of waiting for me to ask for help if I thought I couldn't figure it out on my own. I need to process the steps in my head and then try them.
More discussion on how to use these services in our schools amongst the group would be helpful.
Keep the classes small. This size was perfect!
Keep the smaller classes; the schedule worked very well for me. The evening meal was very nice.
None right now.
Everything moves fast- bit hard to get all that was presented saved in my brain. Maybe 2 days instead of 1.5 days. However I may be the slow learner.
Not sure, but don't make any major changes
As a communication tool, how do we better tie it to the classroom?
What questions or concerns do you have as you leave today?
With the amount of "things" to learn, it may help to have some kind of specific follow-up. It seems like we could do it all again.
wondering how I will incorporate all of this into my daily life . . I am not surrounded by others who blog, tweet, etc. so am a little worried I won't have the environmental support I may need
Afraid I'll forget it all...we'll a lot of it.
Could you all wear purple and gold next time?
Trying to absorb and use all this.
All was very well done
I will need a follow-up in a month or so
Plenty, just not sure what yet. : )
Anything else you want to share with us?
Collaborative learning may be enhanced by spreading out some. I know you want to stay tight to work the crowd, but in groups would allow us to move a bit easier. We all like a little more room if possibe.
Thanks, this was a unique learning experience.
You are a grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat team. Thanks!
This has been so helpful! I love the cheat sheet. One thing that might help is in addition to the area, would it be possible to include 2-3 skills that each focuses on...?
I appreciated all the help, support, and encouragement the staff provided. The most helpful part was when Jamie linked my google calendar to my ipod touch. Thank you!
Wonderful help. I liked that you did not make us feel stupid!
THANK YOU!
No
Very good experience
Great location
Great experience! We need to get more people this information.
